Shewalton (Bookers) Pond - original
This original mixed media painting was inspired by a local nature reserve pond where I swim regularly. The pond, rewilded by Norh Ayrshire council, was once a sand quarry, but is now a beautiful nature reserve, home to resident swans, shags, seagulls and coots, not to mention pike and perch!
During pandemic lockdowns, this was one of the few plaves accessible to me for swimming, and as such, holds a very special place in my heart.
I was fortunate to have this artwork selected for display in the North Ayrshire Open Art Exhibition in 2023, (my very first exhibition).
The painting is framed in a simple white frame (no glass) and measures 24" x 12" unframed.
