Kissed by a Million Bubbles Original)

Mixed media and collage painting. Size 50cm x 50cm on cradled board. 

This  painting was inspired by a memorable walk, when we came across a lovely waterfall in full flow. I swam in the refreshing water and delighted in the feeling of being under the waterfall, surrounded by bubbles from the water cascading from the river above me. Just joyous!

It is an intuitive painting, started initially with charcoal, watersoluble graphite and inks, with acrylic paint and a variety of collage and mixed media applied in response to these marks. While I have memorable swim spots in mindas I am painting,  the final painting is not always a representation of a specific place but more a feeling of experiencing the wild countryside and water portrayed.
